  • Therapeutic breathing techniques, (Pranayama Methods)
  • Meditation with Mala beads
  • A Look into our Wellbeing, our truth, our resolve. Discussion on the terms: Sadhana (daily practice), Karma (action) and Sankalpa (intention)
  • Subtle energy locks within our bodies and how to use them in meditation and postures.
  • Discussion on the 5 movements or functions of prana/energy, known as Panca Vayus.

KID’S YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

  • Yoga and Mindfulness philosophy in child friendly terms.
  • Class planning and teaching strategies for 4-7 years old, 8-12 years old, and teens.
  • Age appropriate poses, breathing practices, games and relaxation techniques.
  • Anatomy, physiology and how Yoga benefits the main body system in children
  • Developmental stages of childhood and how yoga supports motor, cognitive, emotional and chakra development
  • Yoga approaches to challenges of childhood (disconnection, anxiety, attention)
  • How to use music, imagination and growth mindset to meet the needs of children

WEEKEND FIVE: (DECEMBER 15TH-17TH)

  • The chakra system (the energy centers in our bodies), the history, modern interpretations
  • Our subtle body understood through the lens of the Chakras

  • Recitation of Seed sounds. Pranayama
  • Sharing, written exercises & journalizing within the context of Pratyahara
  • Create fluid language around the Chakra System
